Led the complete redesign of an enterprise analytics dashboard used by financial analysts and portfolio managers. The existing product had grown organically over 4 years, resulting in a fragmented experience that was losing ground to competitors. I embedded with the product and engineering teams to rebuild the core experience from the ground up.
What we were up against
The legacy dashboard suffered from poor information architecture built up over years of feature additions without design leadership. Users were spending an average of 12 clicks to complete core workflows that should have taken 3. The data visualization layer was inconsistent, making it difficult for analysts to trust the numbers they were seeing. Churn had increased 18% quarter-over-quarter, and the sales team was losing deals to competitors with more modern interfaces.
How we solved it
I started with a comprehensive UX audit, mapping every user journey and identifying the 5 workflows that accounted for 80% of daily usage. From there, I designed a modular component system with progressive disclosure — giving power users depth without overwhelming new users. The new dashboard featured customizable widgets, a unified data visualization language, and keyboard shortcuts for high-frequency actions. I also established a design system that enabled the engineering team to ship consistently without design review on every PR.
